December 25, 2025: St Antony Church, Anthonykatte, witnessed a spiritually enriching and joy-filled Christmas celebration on the evening of December 24, as a large number of faithful gathered to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ with devotion and festive spirit.
The celebration commenced with 30 minutes of melodious carol singing by the church choir, creating a prayerful and serene atmosphere in preparation for the solemn Christmas Mass. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jeevan Tauro, who, in his inspiring homily, emphasized the true essence of Christmas as a message of peace, hope, and love. The active participation of the congregation added to the spiritual depth and solemnity of the liturgy.
After the Mass, St Antony Youth (SAY), along with parishioners, presented a vibrant cultural programme featuring dances, skits, and soulful singing. These performances highlighted the talents of the parish community and filled the gathering with festive joy. The arrival of Christmas Santa was a special attraction, bringing delight to children as gifts were distributed, spreading cheer and excitement.
The cultural programme was gracefully compered by Mr. Ian Mathias and Ms. Sweedal Mathias, who ensured the smooth flow of events. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving the faithful with cherished memories and the true spirit of Christmas in their hearts.
