June 22, 2025: The ICYM celebrated ‘Green Earth Day’ (ಪಾಚ್ವಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ದೀಸ್) with great enthusiasm in both Adyapady and Anthonykatte on June 22, 2025.
The program began with an inspiring message from Br. Ajay D’Souza, who highlighted the urgent need to preserve and protect nature for the well-being of future generations. Following this, a vibrant ‘Green Day Procession’ was held through the grassy land, symbolizing unity and commitment to safeguarding the environment. The celebration concluded with the planting of fruit-bearing plants in the parish garden, reinforcing the theme of sustainability.
As a special gesture, a plant was distributed to every family in both Adyapady and Anthonykatte, encouraging parishioners to nurture greenery within their homes. The event was well appreciated by parishioners and stood as a meaningful step towards fostering ecological awareness, responsibility, and love for God’s creation.
