Marial Sanz Devotional Programme Held at St Antony Church, Anthonykatte on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima

May 13, 2026: In a spiritually uplifting celebration marking the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, St Antony Church Anthonykatte organized a grand “Marial Sanz” devotional programme on 13th May 2026. The event brought together parishioners, youth, choir members, and devotees in an atmosphere of prayer, reflection, and Marian devotion.

The prayer gathering was held in front of the beautifully decorated grotto of Mother Mary. The grotto was artistically illuminated and decorated with a Taizé prayer theme, creating a serene and peaceful environment that inspired deep devotion among the faithful. The soft lighting, candles, and symbolic decorations added to the spiritual beauty of the evening, drawing the congregation into prayerful meditation.

The programme began at 6.30 pm with Marian hymns presented by the Church Choir. The choir rendered soulful and melodious hymns in praise of Mother Mary, filling the surroundings with reverence and devotion. The meaningful hymns helped the faithful reflect on the message of faith, peace, and love associated with Our Lady of Fatima.

A major highlight of the evening was the Taizé prayer service conducted by Fr. Roshan D’Cunha, Director of Diocesan YCS movement and team. The Taizé prayer included reflective chants, scripture readings, silent meditation, and intercessory prayers. The prayerful atmosphere created through candlelight and meditative music enabled the faithful to experience spiritual peace and closeness to God. The unique style of Taizé worship deeply touched the hearts of the participants and encouraged moments of silence, reflection, and inner renewal.

The programme witnessed active participation from parishioners of all age groups, making the celebration a meaningful community gathering. The devotion and unity displayed by the faithful reflected the deep Marian faith and vibrant spiritual life of the parish community.

The prayer service concluded with a fellowship dinner arranged for all the participants. The gathering provided an opportunity for parishioners to interact and strengthen the spirit of unity and fellowship within the church community.

At the conclusion of the programme, Parish Priest Fr. Francis Rodrigues expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly for the successful organization of the event. The Marial Sanz devotional programme at Anthonykatte stood as a beautiful witness to faith, prayer, and devotion to Mother Mary, leaving the faithful spiritually refreshed and united in Christian fellowship.
