May 25, 2025:The parishioners of Adyapady–Anthonykatte came together in faith and fellowship to celebrate Parish Day on 25th May 2025 with the meaningful theme ‘ಭರ್ವಶ್ಯಾಚೊ ಸಮುದಾಯ್, ಫಿರ್ಗಜ್ ಕುಟ್ಮಾಚಿ ಘಟಾಯ್’. The day began with a solemn Thanksgiving Eucharist, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangaluru, who was also the chief guest of the day. The homily emphasized the importance of community life and parish unity, drawing inspiration from the theme of the celebration.
Following the mass, a vibrant stage program was held at the church hall. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, the chief guest, was joined by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Francis Rodrigues, Vice President Mr. Jhonson D’Souza, and Secretary Mr. Sunil D’Souza on the dais. The program began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Jhonson D’Souza, setting a spirit of gratitude and joy for the gathering. A highlight of the event was the honoring of top scorers in academics encouraging the educational achievements of parish youth.
The celebrations also featured variety entertainment performances by different wards and parish associations, adding color and liveliness to the occasion. A special musical singing show by Anthonykatte Choir further uplifted the spirit of the day with melodious tunes. The program was skillfully compared by Mrs. Sylvia D’Costa, whose lively presence kept the audience engaged throughout.
In his concluding message and vote of thanks, Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Francis Rodrigues expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, parish leaders, associations, and all parishioners for their wholehearted support in making the Parish Day a grand success. The day ended with a fellowship lunch arranged for all, strengthening the bonds of unity and togetherness within the parish community.
