January 18, 2026: St Antony Church, Anthonykatte, secured Third Place in the historic Diocesan-level Konkani Group Singing Competition “Ga Thu Jibe” (Sing, O Tongue), organised by St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu, under the Mangalore Diocese, on 18 January 2026 at St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu, Mangalore. The parish choir’s spirited and prayerful performance was widely appreciated, reflecting its active and dedicated service to liturgical music.
Out of 21 registered groups, 17 diverse teams participated, including parish choirs, religious institutions, nuns, youth, children, and lay faithful, all united in devotion to the ‘Wonder Worker’ of Padua. After a keenly contested event, Cantate Domino, Mangalore won First Place, followed by Jeppu Parish in Second Place.
Fr Francis Rodrigues, Parish Priest of Adyapady–Anthonykatte Church, congratulated the team for their achievement and encouraged them to continue their committed service.
