Feast of the Relic of St Antony Celebrated with Great Devotion at Anthonykatte

The faithful of St Antony Church, Anthonykatte joyfully celebrated the Feast of the Relic of St Antony on 15th February 2026 at 5.30 pm, marking yet another milestone in the growing devotion to St Antony at the shrine.

The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Very Rev. Msgr Maxim Noronha, Vicar General, Diocese of Mangalore. The liturgy was prayerful and spiritually enriching, drawing a gathering of more than thousand devotees, reflecting the deep-rooted and ever-growing faith of the people.

In his homily, Msgr Maxim Noronha highlighted the powerful intercession of St Antony and encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in prayer, charity, and service. The atmosphere of devotion was evident as devotees reverently participated in the Holy Mass and venerated the sacred relic.

Three-Day Triduum Preparation: In preparation for the grand feast, a three-day Triduum was conducted with spiritual fervour,led by Fr. Anil Joel D’Souza, Fr. Abel Lobo and Fr. Kevin Lawrence D’Souza. Each day witnessed large participation, with inspiring sermons and meaningful reflections that prepared the faithful spiritually for the feast day. The triduum strengthened the devotion and unity among parishioners and visiting devotees.

The entire celebration was meticulously organized under the able leadership of the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Francis Rodrigues, who served as the spiritual guide to all devotees. His dedication, along with the wholehearted support of parishioners and volunteers, ensured the smooth and prayerful conduct of the feast.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a fellowship dinner was served to all present, fostering a spirit of unity, sharing, and Christian brotherhood.

The overwhelming participation and deep devotion witnessed during the feast clearly reflect that St Antony Church, Anthonykatte continues to grow as a vibrant centre of faith, drawing devotees from near and far to seek the blessings and intercession of St Antony.
