August 15, 2024: The parishioners of St. Antony Church, Anthonykatte, joyfully celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady along with the 78th Independence Day of our Nation on 15th August 2024. After the solemn Eucharistic celebration, the St. Antony Youth (SAY) organized a patriotic flag-hoisting ceremony in the church premises.
The national flag was unfurled by Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo, who also delivered an inspiring Independence Day message to the gathering. Ms. Melisha D’Souza ably compered the program, while Mr. Melwil D’Souza delivered a thoughtful speech on the significance of Independence Day. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Andriya D’Costa, acknowledging the efforts of all who contributed to the meaningful celebration.
The occasion beautifully combined faith and patriotism, fostering unity and devotion among the parishioners of Anthonykatte.
