November 3, 2024: Adyapady-Anthoynkatte Parish witnessed a vibrant multi-day celebration dedicated to Children, Youth, Couples and Elders Day on 3rd November 2024. The festivities began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration led by Fr Harold D’Souza, Spiritual Director of ‘Gladsome Home’, who was also the Chief Guest for the occasion.
The half-day cultural programme that followed featured energetic performances by parishioners, entertaining the gathering with variety shows, lucky games, and group activities. Rev. Fr Francis Rodrigues, Parish Priest, was specially felicitated for receiving the prestigious Konkani Book Award-2024 from the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.
The official website of Adyapady Church, www.adyapadychurch.in, designed and developed by the Commission for Social Communication under the leadership of Roshan Mascarenhas, was officially unveiled and dedicated for public access.
The event was graced on the dais by Mr. Jhonson Dsouza, Vice President, and Mr. Sunil D’Souza, Secretary, alongside other parish leaders. Prizes were distributed to winners of the games and competitions, and the celebration concluded with a fellowship lunch.
In the afternoon, the parish in collaboration with ICYM organized a Sports Day titled ‘Kella Fest’, featuring a variety of sports and games for parishioners of all age groups, fostering unity and enthusiasm within the community.
The entire parish community actively participated, making the celebration a joyful and memorable occasion.
