November 02, 2025 : St. Antony Church, Anthonykatte, observed All Souls’ Day with a solemn Mass on 2nd November 2025, followed by prayer service and blessing of graves at the parish cemetery, bringing together parishioners of all ages to pray for the faithful departed.
The All Souls’ Day Mass held in the church at 5.30 pm. The parishioners, who gathered to pray, sing and remember loved ones. Following the Mass, the congregation processed to the parish cemetery for a prayer service and blessing of graves. At the cemetery, the priest led prayers for all who are buried there and for those remembered in the hearts of the community. Candles were lit at several graves while family members offered brief, private prayers and placed flowers.
The service included a short Scripture reflection, the singing of hymns, and the rite of blessing for the graves — an outward sign of the Church’s care for the dead and a reminder of the communion between the living and the departed.
