ICYM Pezar Varado Celebrates Konkani Manyatha Divas

August 31, 2025: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Pezar Varado, organized a vibrant  celebration of Konkani Manyatha Divas on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at St. Joseph P. U. College, Bajpe. The event turned into a colorful showcase of Konkani culture, music, dance, and traditions, with enthusiastic participation from parishioners across the region.

United Celebration of Konkani Heritage

The program witnessed active involvement from parishioners of Bajpe, Pezar, Permude, Gurupur, Ferar, and Adyapady–Anthonykatte, who came together to highlight the richness of Konkani language and culture. Through various performances, the participants underlined the importance of preserving and promoting Konkani as a vibrant mother tongue and cultural identity.

Cultural Extravaganza

The event was marked by a series of enthralling cultural performances, including traditional songs, skits, folk dances, and modern presentations infused with Konkani flavor. Parish youth and elders alike participated, ensuring a blend of heritage with contemporary styles. Parishioners from Adyapady–Anthonykatte parish made their presence felt with wholehearted involvement.
