Sunday Catechism Year Inaugurated at Adyapady

June 1, 2025: The new Sunday Catechism Year was solemnly inaugurated in Adyapady on 1st June 2025 with the inspiring theme “Faith Formed; Hope Filled.” The event witnessed the active participation of catechism teachers, students, and parents from both Adyapady and Anthonykatte parishes, who gathered in unity to mark the beginning of a new catechetical journey.

The inaugural rite included the symbolic distribution of catechism books to six children, signifying the handing on of faith to the younger generation. In a moving moment of commitment, the catechism teachers took an oath to render their selfless service with dedication and sincerity, promising to guide the children in faith formation.

The event was prayerfully organized under the leadership of the Commission for Catechetics Apostolate, ensuring that the program reflected the spirit of the theme. The presence and involvement of parents along with their children added meaning to the celebration, emphasizing the shared responsibility of nurturing faith within families and the parish community.

The inauguration set a hopeful tone for the catechism year ahead, inspiring both teachers and students to walk together in faith, learning, and love.
