June 13, 2025: The solemn Feast of St Antony was celebrated with great devotion and fervor at St Antony Church, Anthonykatte on June 13, 2025. The festal Eucharist was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of the Diocese of Karwar, who also preached the homily on the inspiring theme “ದಯಾಳಾಯೆಚೊ ಶೆಗುಣ್, ಜುಬ್ಲೆವಾಚೆಂ ಕಾಳಿಜ್” (Virtue of Mercy, Heart of the Jubilee). His powerful message highlighted the call of St Antony to be a witness of mercy and compassion in today’s world.
The celebration witnessed the presence of 15 deanery and guest priests, adding solemnity to the liturgical service. With deep faith and devotion, around 1000 devotees from Anthonykatte and neighboring parishes participated in the Eucharistic celebration. Following the mass, a fellowship non-vegetarian meal was served to all devotees, strengthening the spirit of unity and togetherness.
In preparation for the Feast, a devout three-day Triduum was organized from June 10 to 12, 2025, which drew over 300 devotees daily. The Triduum was animated by Fr. Andrew D’Souza (Bajpe), Fr. Francis D’Souza (Kripa Sadhana), and Fr. Jesudas D’Costa (St John Paul II Shrine), who enriched the faithful with their meaningful reflections and spiritual guidance. After each day’s devotion, non-vegetarian meals were also served to all participants, fostering a spirit of fellowship and service.
